Experienced drivers know that there is no way to predict the behavior of other drivers. We see drivers tailgating, weaving in and out of traffic and disregarding the basic rules of the road. We do know that aggressive driving is rampant on our streets and highways. Knowing the most common aggressive driving scenarios is one thing, knowing what to do about them is another.
SMARTDRIVER “Strategies for Survival” addresses these specific categories of aggressive driving behaviors:
• Tailgating and Speeding
• Traffic Control Devices
• Driver Impairment
• Lane Space Violations
• Driver Inattention
For each occurrence within these categories the SMARTDRIVER “Strategies for Survival” provides strategies for the “SMARTDRIVER” to reduce their chances of being in a collision.
SMARTDRIVER “Strategies for Survival” provides the driver a “SMARTDRIVER” advantage. By focusing on primary aggressive driving scenarios, this program will help the driver avoid initiating, instigating, retaliating or being the victim of an aggressive driving situation.
SMARTDRIVER “A Steering Wheel and an Attitude” uniquely addresses a straight-forward analysis of the average “ticket getter” demographically. The course analyzes driver stress factors, why and how they occur and the resulting choices drivers make. The most in-depth section deals with “Driver Attitude and Behavior”. The analysis looks at social and personal values from both a long term and transitory perspective. The resulting “Outcome Assessment” provides a straight-forward, highly effective analysis of a driver’s chances of being involved in any one of five categories ranging from a ticket to a fatal accident.
SMARTDRIVER “Strategies for the Business Driver” specifically addresses, in a straight-forward manner, the most frequent collision categories identified within major industry fleets. The training program specifically provides driver strategies to avoid these specific categorized collisions. Statistical data has been obtained by Gold Cross from numerous credible sources. (EXCELLENT “HIGH RISK” DRIVER TRAINING).
SMARTDRIVER “Manager’s Observations and Training Program” provides managers of employees driving company vehicles with the ability to address factors that are of organizational and personal importance. Factors relate to the vehicle itself, its operation, as well as the driver’s attitude and behavior. The program can test and document the manager’s and driver’s knowledge of company fleet and safety policies. The course consists of a video based presentation and interrelated and interactive Manager’s Observation Guide which can include customization of company fleet and safety policies. The program provides the manager with the knowledge and tools to observe the driver in over twenty five categories which will enable the proper department management to address corporate property and driver safety issues based on information from the manager’s observations. All applicable forms and observation materials are provided.
